Project Overview: Tie Down Earth Anchors for Demountable Buildings at William Clarke College

The Brief
William Clarke College, an esteemed Anglican co-educational school founded in 1988, recently expanded its facilities by installing twelve demountable classrooms on the main school field. Ensuring the safety and stability of these temporary structures was a top priority.

The Brief: To provide tested anchor points to resist the tensile loads generated by shade canopies protecting the cherry trees.
Approached by Oxy Petroleum and Cape PLC to undertake the retrofitting of a failing MSE wall, on a work to permit basis, AR+R manufactured and supervised the installation of 168 off H110 anchors c/w 5.5m stainless steel tendons, pattress plates and wedge grips.
Brief:
To safely stabilise two 13m high soil embankments with 40° slopes measuring 45 m and 30 m in length, on the underside of two apartment blocks at the ARV Woollahra in the eastern suburbs of Sydney.
